Board of Directors
Elisabeth Wang
In March 2024, Elisabeth celebrated 16 years with Piedmont Healthcare, where she serves as Vice President of Communications and Brand Building. In this capacity, she leads a team of 27 and is instrumental in shaping Piedmont's brand identity and enhancing its reputation among internal and external stakeholders. Elisabeth's expertise spans a wide range of areas, including strategic brand-building, crisis management, change communications, and employee engagement.
Throughout her tenure, Elisabeth has been a catalyst for innovation, implementing scalable communication practices that have supported Piedmont's rapid growth and expansion. Her leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic was particularly noteworthy, as she played a central role in guiding the organization's response and ensuring clear, timely communication with employees, patients, and the community at large.
Elisabeth is deeply committed to giving back to her profession and her community. She has held multiple leadership roles with Public Relations Society of America, including leading its Employee Communications section, and has served on the Board for Revved Up Kids, a non-profit that helps kids recognize and escape unsafe adults. Currently, she volunteers with Good News at Noon, a homeless ministry, and contributes to a mentoring program hosted by ICology, a community that serves the unique opportunities within internal communications.
In her free time, Elisabeth has maintained Lit&Leisure, a (primarily) book blog since 2009. She is married to Scott, a professional photographer, and together they parent two very spoiled furry “dog-sters.” In addition to reading and writing, Elisabeth enjoys flower and herb gardening, cooking, and birdwatching.
